Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, with offices in O’Hara and Penn Hills, has launched an online fitness series to help its employees.
Pathways to Health offers free virtual yoga sessions taught by realtor Christi Fredrick.
“Yoga is a great way to gain a sense of community and is extremely important for not only physical health, but mental health during this time,” Fredrick said.
She is excited to tackle the online challenge of introducing the exercise to her colleagues.
“Classes are designed for our employees to get a good stretch in and ease some quarantine tension,” she said.
The Zoom courses will be offered three times a week. They are aimed at all ages and abilities.
Berkshire Hathaway typically offers Pathways classes to teach real estate-related skills. Marketing coordinator MacKenzie Deller said this extension is necessary to help keep employees safe, healthy and positive during the pandemic.
Free access to health and fitness classes is something the company has targeted since the state’s coronavirus-related stay-at-home orders were enacted in March, company President Tom Hosack said in a release.
“Our mission is to create and support a community, and it’s vital that we give our employees the mental and physical support they need at this time,” he said.
