Motorists who use Harding Road in O’Hara will need to detour the next three weeks.

Harding Road will be closed nearly through the end of the month while crews work to repair retaining walls.

Township Engineer Chuck Steinert said crews are working in two locations on washouts that occurred during heavy storms earlier in July.

There will be two walls built, he said.

Total cost is expected to be about $110,000.

Steinert said the walls are being constructed from Dura-Hold precast concrete blocks.

“They are 50-feet, and 64-feet long, and average 8-feet tall,” he said.

Work is weather dependent.

Detours are posted.
